This is what work feels like more and more each day.
Today was a luncheon for THREE people who are leaving. Tomorrow is Ed's last day, Thursday is Alex's last day (that'd be two from the department I'm in. A department of eight including managers and three people in Philly) and next weeks is John from another group's last day. And there's probably one more from my group leaving in two weeks.
If my head doesn't explode first, look for me in the wreckage. I'm going down with the ship for now.

Any chance you get to move up the ladder with any of these moves? Get more money because you took on more responsibility?
cj_atc, you're a funny, funny guy. No. Complicated, confusing what group owns who and what food chain we report up, but the top of that food chain wants to get rid of 1000 positions this year anyway. This is just helping them out with numbers. The other part of wanting to get rid of those 1000 positions is cutting back on expenses in general. Travel is out, training is out, new computers are slowed down..... fun times all around.
